Getting the most out of Worship at Home

Designate a Leader

Because our Sunday gatherings online are interactive, it will require someone to lead through the different segments from the order of service. This person needs to simply assign different people to read a scripture/call to worship/prayer as well as lead the discussion and prayer time at the end. For those households with fathers/husbands, we would encourage them to take the lead for their families.

Minimize Distractions

Pick a time and place where distractions will be minimized. We are being constantly bombarded by news and media, which makes it so important to take a break and focus our undivided attention on the Lord. Put away phones and any other distractions.

Sing Together

Singing in a small group might be new to some of us. Remember, the Lord hears the heart and all we are required to is make a joyful NOISE to the Lord. We encourage you to actually sing together! If you have small children, interchange some of the worship songs with the children’s songs. If you have someone in your household that can lead worship, we would encourage you to do it live (without the video). Lead sheets and lyrics are provided each week in the Order of Service.

Discuss and Pray with others

If you are alone or would like to combine with a few others in the church family for the prayer and discussion portion, we would encourage you to do so! Pick a time with a few others where you go through the first part of the Sunday gathering online. Once you finish the sermon video, video chat with others where you can discuss and pray together.

Each week, the Sunday gathering will be posted by 5pm on Saturday.

Worship with Kids?

We know that worshiping with your kids may pose some challenges, but we also believe it can be really sweet. Our families will remember this season for the rest of their lives. We have put together several resources to help equip you for leading your kids at home. During our service, we spend the opening worship with our pre-k-5th grade children and then they have a time for Sunday school to enjoy an age-appropriate lesson where we can learn about how we can love God & those around us. Our nursery will be open to children starting at 10 a.m. and in there, the children will be prayed over individually and God’s Truth & promises will be spoken over them. If you or your child prefer to stay in the service, we welcome that as well!
