Children's Ministry

At Mountain View our Children’s Ministry is a joyful, Gospel-centered environment where kids gather every Sunday during the service to play, learn, and grow together. Through fun games, engaging Bible lessons, and hands-on Scripture exploration we help kids discover the love of Jesus in a way that’s age-appropriate, safe, and full of joy. We can’t wait to welcome your child(ren) into a place where they are loved, safe, and introduced to the life-changing truth of the Gospel.

Mission

MVCC Children’s Ministry exists to introduce kids to Jesus, teach them God’s Word, and share how they can respond to His great love.

Our mission is built on 4 key Pillars:

1. Biblical Teaching

  • We read chronologically through the Bible and teach how the whole Bible points to Jesus. We currently are using The Gospel Project curriculum.

2. A Safe Environment

  • Our highly trained and background-checked team of volunteers is dedicated to loving every child and presenting the Gospel to them. Our classroom environment is welcoming and minimizes barriers that could hinder learning about God (Luke 18:16).

3. Partnering with Parents

  • Parents are responsible for and have the greatest impact on a child’s spiritual growth (Deut. 6:4-8; Eph. 6:4). Our goal is to partner with, encourage, and help equip parents to biblically disciple their children.

4. Prayer

  • Our team is dedicated to praying with and for each child and family (James 5:16) as we seek to have each person know and grow in Christ

Checking In

When you arrive, our friendly volunteers will be ready to welcome you and guide you through the check-in process. If it’s your first time visiting, we’ll help you get set up in our system (Planning Center), then print a name tag for your child and a matching security tag for you.

Your child’s name tag helps our volunteers know who they are, and your security tag ensures only you (or an authorized guardian) can pick them up. For your child’s safety, no one will be allowed to pick up without presenting the matching tag.

During the Service

Children begin in the main service with their families and are dismissed after worship and announcements. The exception is our nursery (ages 0–2), which opens at 10:00 AM so little ones can head back earlier.

We have clear signage to help you find your way to the classrooms, but if it’s your first time, don’t worry—our volunteers will be happy to walk you and your child to the right place!

If your child feels more comfortable staying in the service with you, we offer activity bags to help keep little hands engaged. Just let us know, and we’ll gladly get one for you.
